Artist Statement:

This piece was created as a Spirit Portrait for a client, and its feelings of playfulness and joy have resonated so much with people that I decided to make it available as a print for everyone.

From the barn owl to the mountain scene in the background, this piece incorporates the elements of air, earth, and water to ground the viewer. The barn owl and the red-tailed hawk carry huge symbolic power as they bridge the earth and sky elements to bring us messages from the spirit world. Growing out of the owl, eucalyptus branches serve to purify the space for the viewer, while the sunflowers are a symbol of peace. The three wolves capture a child-like spirit of playful adventure, and point to the mountain scene in the background.

This piece is meant to be a reminder that we can either choose to live life with heaviness and fear, or we can choose to live life as if it is all a dance- with lightness of being!
