I've spent the past two days exploring around San Louis Opispo, Morro Rock, and Cambria! I haven't felt this alive in years. I've also had some amazing epiphanies and moments that I wish I could bottle up for you and keep forever...

Like earlier today my host/new friend Jennifer and I hiked through grassy hills full of wildlife and down to the beach cliffs just outside Cambria. The wind was so powerful, blowing our hair in tune with the golden grasses dancing beside our trail. Just before the path turned down to the shore, we experienced an amazing moment of connection with a pair of deer who made eye contact with us and pranced across our trail right in front of us! We both stopped dead in our tracks, silent, in awe, and then broke out in giggles. For me, it was a moment of sheer beauty that I wish I could share in full detail with you. We followed the trail down to an open pasture on a cliff-face, and stood on jagged rocks with powerful winds rocking our bodies as waves clapped in raw salty power just below our feet. I could feel the rumble in my toes on the rocks, as I opened my spirit up to really feel the energy of the shoreline. It was a moment of sensory overload, where beauty was almost too powerful to comprehend. Today I am one step closer to my wild true self, and one step further away from the old fearful self I used to be. More photos and drawings soon to come!
